Sole Distributor for HAGUE

Picture
WaterMax® by HAGUE is the big daddy of water softeners. This world-renown unit is made in America. In fact, it's the only water softener, from parts to assembly, completely made in America. It's primary advantage is you'll enjoy whole-house filtered and softened water all from one simple, durable unit!
MORE ON THIS...

"What exactly is a water softener?"

A water softener will eliminate magnesium and calcium from your water using an ion exchange process. The filtration chamber receives your hard water through a bed of negatively charged resin beads. These beads react to the positively charged minerals ad then retain the ions from the minerals, releasing sodium ions in their place. As a result your water exits the chamber in what we call a "soft" state.

"What will hard water do to my plumbing?"

If cloudy dishes and dingy shower doors aren't enough, hard water can also has long-lasting negative effects on your plumbing pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
In galvanized water pipes, small rock-like mineral deposits bang against elbow joints. that leaves cratches in the pipe’s coating, eventually causing the pipes to corrode. And, as. you can guess, eventually leading to leaks.
Faucets, toilets, and shower heads are all affected by hard water. Scale buildup will prevent water from flowing as freely. Your toilet components will begin to clog and stick and eventually fail to function.
Hard water is especially rough on water heaters when minerals in the tank settle to the bottom. As sediment layers deepen, your water heater becomes less and less efficient.
All this begs the question, "What is hard water doing to our bodily organs?"

"Should I install a whole house water softener?"

While individual softeners and filters are available for individual faucets, the prospect of installing one of our whole house units can save you maintenance time. And you may be surprised how affordable a whole house unit can be.

The most frequent comments we hear from home owners installing from having a whole house unit are:
  • No more dingy laundry
  • No more "crunchy" hair
  • No more dry skin
  • No more soap scum on shower doors and curtains
  • Dishes come out crystal clear.
  • How to know when to replace your water softener?
If well maintained, a whole house unit can last in the range of 10-15 years.

"How will I know when it's time for a new unit?"

Though every unit varies in longevity, there are tell tale signs of when it's time for a new unit:

1. LESS LATHER. One of the first signs is when your soap isn't lathering up. If you’re having a hard time soaping up in the shower, it may be time for a new unit. Take note if you're having to use more volume of shampoo than usual. It's time to give us a call! Another indication that you’re not getting enough lather is that you’re going through a ton of shampoo, more than usual.

2. LAUNDRY ISSUES. Your laundry may start feeling scratchy and rough to the touch. You can only go through so much fabric softener! Laundry issues such as this might also mean that your softener needs more salt solution. Either way, we can help you determine the solution.

3. FUNNY TASTE. Hard water has a different taste than soft water. If you notice that suddenly your water no longer has that mineral taste that's evident in soft water, it may be time to check your softener.

4. CALCIUM BUILDUPS. You'll begin to notice that white crusty calcium buildup around your faucets. We suggest keeping a close eye on all your water outlets; kitchen, bathroom, wet bar, or any other water outlet. If you notice a chalky buildup around them, it's a sign that you may need to replace or at least repair your water softener.

Any high-efficiency appliance cannot operate as designed when they're overworked from hard water buildup. Many of your appliances such as dishwashers and washing machines will suffer reduced lifespans from hard water. Pay attention to the signs. Our experts can help answer any questions or even pay a visit to help your determine if it's time for a new shiny model.
We also serve surrounding areas, installing and servicing water softeners from here to Sugar Land to Conroe.
